Retrying failed jobs

Publisher automatically retries failed publishing jobs a configurable number of times. To manually retry failed publishing jobs, see the BlueCielo Publisher User's Guide.

If retrying a publishing job repeats the problem, you might need to manually render the document while you troubleshoot the rendering problem. To prevent the Publisher from rendering the same document again (and repeating the problem), you can mark its registration in the Publisher database as obsolete as described in the BlueCielo Publisher User's Guide.

To configure the number of automatic retries:

  1. Locate and open the Publisher web.config file in any text editor. By default, it is located in the default website folder.
  2. Locate the following setting in the file:

    <setting name="RetryCount" serializeAs="String">
  3. Set the value element to the number of retries.
  4. Save your changes and close the file.
